
The 2nd Philippine Retail Summit (PRS) held a press conference as one of its event kick-off, attended by several press people last Wednesday, February 20 at Discovery Suites, Ortigas.
“The 2nd Philppine Retail Summit is curated towards providing positive customer journey.” Emphasized by Bo Lundqvist, Philippine Retail Summit Chairman as he led the welcome remarks for the attendees comprising of various press people from Business Mirror, Malaya Business Insight, Manila Times, When In Manila, Giz Guide and more different media format – from print, radio, tv and online.
“#GenCX is not just the Millennials and generation Z. They can be your lolos and lolas ordering products online.” He clarified, as #GenCX could be everyone that craves experience and satisfaction over their purchase. They are the customers of today, regardless the demographics. Bo gave a rundown and glimpse of what is expected to happen during the 2nd Philppine Retail Summit, on March 14, at SMX Aura Convention Center, Taguig City. He highlighted the speaker line-up coming from world-class brands, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Lazada, Zalora, Jollibee and JY Ventures. In the exclusive press con, Bo also unveiled the agenda outline and gave an overview of the relevant topics to be discussed during the summit.
Alvin Ching, Vice President and Seller Engagement Head of Lazada Philippines, and PRS’ keynote speaker also graced the press conference. He elaborated the theme for this year’s 2nd Philppine Retail Summit and defined the framework of #GenCX. “We are now at a Reflection Point whereas something is happening, something goes to a different phase.”, Alvin introduced. “#GenCX is not a traditional demographic – they are a group of consumer that becomes more sophisticated.” He added. The keynote speaker also emphasized that #GenCX is now more discerning because of their access to choices – choice in availability, choice in accessibility. Leaving the thought that #GenCX is not a trend but a reality, he ended his note with an impactful message, “change the way you do business that complements the current businesses.”
